'Cultural Connections' - the end of the festival

It is hard to believe but our festival is over. Yesterday, we celebrated a grand finale of 'Cultural Connections'.

We started with a delicious Kosher lunch, surrounded by Claire Maxwell's photographs documenting the making of our exhibition. It was great to see in those pictures the process of how the festival evolved. The lunch was followed by “Klezmer, Baroque and Tartan: A Jewish Musical Odyssey”
- a concert of baroque gypsy music, classical Hebrew songs alongside traditional Scottish folk tunes
with a hefty amount of foot-stomping Klezmer with the Adrianne Greenbaum Quartet.

Below are some photographs capturing the last moments of the festival:

Thank you so much to all who helped us make this festival happen and to all who participated in our workshops and events. It was a pleasure to be involved in such a meaningful undertaking.

It was a joyful time!

Thank you for your great protographs, Chris Dooks!

Thirsty people...

A Broom Dance - if you don't catch anyone you'll need to dance with a broom...

Afterwards we had a little music and song session and were way too busy singing to take photographs...

Thank you all for a lovely time!
